St Christopher’s Academy Rents Dyson AIrblades

St Christopher’s is a Church of England High School for boys and girls of 11 to 18 years of age based in the heart of Lancashire. It’s a school that recognises that each member of the school
community is an individual with specific needs and strengths and so offers pupils equal access to all areas of the curriculum. Consequently, it is imperative for the school community to provide pupils with the best equipment possible, but not just inside the classroom.
In order to provide a safe, modern environment throughout the school campus for both staff and pupils, St Christopher’s approached Utility Rentals after having used them already to rent a variety of white goods for their Food Technology Department. However, this time it was regarding rental of the Dyson AirbladeTM hand dryers.
The Dyson Airblade hand dryers are able to offer several benefits to schools over traditional drying methods, including a fast drying time, low running costs, reduced carbon footprint and a variety of hygiene advantages. After previously purchasing a number of Dyson Airblade hand dryers, St Christopher’s were well aware of these rewards. “The new sixth form building needed to be fitted out with Dyson Airblade hand dryers” said Peter Crewe, Project Manager at St Christopher’s, “They are extremely effective and reliable, with no mess or waste as with paper products.”
As Utility Rentals is able to spread the cost of the Dyson Airblade hand dryers on a flexible rental contract designed specifically for schools, St Christopher’s was able to acquire all the Dyson Airblade hand dryers it needed at one time, without having to use their capital budget. Nonetheless, Peter says it was not just the convenience of having annual payments, rather than one large upfront payment that attracted the school to the services Utility Rentals offer: “We chose Utility Rentals having had previous experience of renting from the company. We found they were able to provide the full service we wanted and not just a piece of equipment. Costs were also competitive.”
As part of the rental, Utility Rentals liaised with the school and handled all aspects of the delivery and installation of the Dyson AirbladeTM hand dryers, as well as fitting a backboard to cover any existing wall fittings that were left over from their previous hand drying methods.
In addition to this, staff at St Christopher’s no longer need to worry about the hassle of repairs. Each Dyson AirbladeTM rented by the school is covered with a parts and labour breakdown warranty for the full duration of the rental period, with all processes surrounding this arranged and overseen by the dedicated repairs team at Utility Rentals.
